http://www.cleanairgardening.com/reelmowers.html Deciding between the Brill or Scotts push reel mowers isn't a difficult decision. Your answer lies in a few key factors like the type of grass you have and how tall you want the grass. Both are great mowers!

  • I went out at eight this morning and started mowing--it did a great job. My next-door neighbor came out and asked me "What kind of machine is that?" (she's 20 something). Tonight she came over and wanted to know how much it cost and where I bought it. Isn't that great?

  • Awesome! It's good to see people willing to try out new things, and push reel mowers can make a huge difference.

  • Thanks so much!! I enjoy my Scott's Classic. I saw a video of a small kid using one. search "Aubreymows" He would be a good spokesperson :-)

  • You need a better microphone.

  • my last name is Brill

  • @titdalturfdotcom ... It is not all out the clean air, for me, it is not pissing off my neighbors by mowing at 7 am, before it hits 90 outside.

  • @tidalturfdotcom smaller engines actually produce a surprising amount of carbon emissions--running a mower for one hour is roughly equivalent to driving 100 miles.

  • I love the Scotts, but the handle is pretty cheap (and short for me.)

  • Okay, I just read that the Brill is a no-contact cutter. Which has the more effective cutting mechanism, the Brill, or the Scott?

  • Does the Brill scissor-cut the grass like the Scotts does?

  • Ok, let me say this...First - I am not trying to bash you "clean air people" at all...but, let's get logical...If you really want to make a difference in your environment, GET RID OF YOUR CAR, not your LAWN MOWER!
