Even sadder, is that these slaves were "bought" from the dominant black tribes, who captured them as prisoners of war. The ones they didn't slaughter, enslave, and torture..they marched to the coast and sold as slaves to the whites and arabs..a chapter that perhaps needs to be told..or not. I believe we should all join the 21st c.and celebrate the great opportunities that blacks have here in America. Half the people in my church are from Nigeria. The aver. personal income in Africa is $800/yr.

@j76641 I think the people who liked this are simply liking the fact that someone uploaded this as a presentation, a documentation of histoy, of course no one here (I hope no one here in anyways) actually likes what happens but I'd say people are just liking the movie/documentation, not what happened.

Racism tragically flourished back then, but back then they would have looked back at an age when feudalism flourished as the wrong ways of the old but the slave trade was taken for granted and so many people never saw it as wrong back then.

Now racism is generally considered as wrong, and now just like them looking back at feudalism, we look back at racism/slave trade as well as a wrong of the old ways but I wonder is the wrong of the now people take for granted animal slaughter? I believe so

@kimbersal28 The concept of legacy still doesn't justify today's black hate towards the whites. This legacy was also of Jews, Muslims, and West African blacks; but the Jews, Muslims, and West African blacks of today do not deserve to be punished for the wrongdoings of their ancestors. (I'm not sure if any of my ancestors, most likely working-class, owned any slaves!) Displacement of anger on today's generation solves nothing; it prolongs the problem of inter-(and even intra-)racial hate.
