Sunday November 11, 2007 Elizabeth Kucinich arrived in Denver to attend the Colorado for Kucinich fundraiser brunch held at the Mercury Café. The Mercury Café is one of Denver's alternative hotspots and has led the way in greening Denver by installing solar panels and wind turbines. The Mercury has been sponsoring bio diesel support groups, and owner Marilyn McGinnity is a great supporter of the Kucinich campaign.
The turn out was large and Kucinich was well received. Colorado4Kucinch organizers stressed the need to get Kucinich supporters out to the precinct caucus process which is held on February 5, 2008. Colorado does not hold a presidential preference primary. Campaign organizers urged members of the audience to remind their friends that December 5, 2007 is the deadline for registering to vote as a Democrat in order to be eligible to participate in the Democratic caucus process.
Paige Tompson introduced Elizabeth Kucinich who took the stage and gave a brief talk about the campaign and some key issues before saying she really wanted to hear from the audience, and answer any questions they may have about issues or the campaign.

  • Bless you Elizabeth and Dennis. Thank you for standing up for the people of the world not the corporations. Inspiring rather than trying to move people into the base emotions of fear and anger.

    Peace.

  • She's good. Vote kucinich!

  • Damn Dennis really hit one out the park. She's hot AND brilliant!

  • I understand what you're saying. Before I knew what he was about I thought DK was weird too, but now I see him as having greater moral stature than all the other candidates combined. On govt: it's only reasonable that as a country grows so should its govt. Though we should always be vigilant to trim the fat and waste, there's NO REASON to believe that tax cuts and smaller government are ALWAYS the answer, as a political doctrine.

  • Now they want to privatize our Military Bases.

    Enough is enough.

  • Haven't we privatized every aspect of our government industry to the greedy corporations? Here in San Diego, the local government outsourced the IT department to Northrup-Grumman. I wouldn't be suprised if defense contractors are running the jails and prisons as well if not already!

  • TENEMOS QUE EMPEZAR LA REVOLUCION!

  • no man i read you paul and Kucinich are the only electable candidates i love em both

  • She hits the nail on the head. If a majority of Americans knew the truth about our government's collusion with big corporations as they ride roughshod all over second and third world nations, Dennis would win in a landslide.

  • I used to think Kucinich was a kook. But I've got to say, although I don't agree with many of his ideas, I am beginning to like this guy. At least he has the guts to say what he believes. And some of his ideas are quite good. My only problem is he sees government as the answer. Government messes up everything they get into. I would vote for Kucinich before any of the other dems.
