@Smokeclouds702 Same here, amazing band.

I'm with you. Love their entire catalogue

True artists play what they feel. Their expression is not dictated by the arbitrary confines of a genre.

@Smokeclouds702 I've been a fan of Opeth since the mid 2000s, guess I've been trendy a long time

Just don't see why people get so hung up in trying to show off their great interests in the exact genre which band, song, or album have to belong to, and have to analyse the music way out of proportions. Personally I am perfectly fine not knowing, as long as I like the elements the songs are composed of, and the whole feel of the music. anyone else?

This is one of the most emotional thingsd i've ever heard...you lay on your bed in the dark and listen to it in your earphones...it's a mental trip...

I brush my teeth to this shit... it takes a while

@drumsistkrieg1349 And this song has elements of black metal, but if you listen through the track you can not say that it is a black metal song. You may think I'm a noob, but I know my shit, listened to black metal for 19 years now. The chorus on this song is almost like QOTSA, do you really think this would have happened in the olden golden days? This is a kind of hybrid between black metal, pop and symphonic/progressive rock. Believe it or not. Don't argue with me:p
It was a crime that Enslaved opened for dimmu

@KamenRiderNecro
When exactly did Opeth become "trendy"?
Let me make clear that there is a difference in being sucessful and in being trendy. Being successful does not mean that a band is trendy.
