Never ever melt down the nuggets see, it is worth 4 x as much just like it is!! Iive in Alaska were nuggs like that are far and few. I don't believe in luck , so you were in the right place at the right time. Just imagine what an expedition, into the bush, that money could fund! Then you could give that old detector a real workout. Good hunting friend.

@ironmountainrotts Hi, that is a great review of that nugget..I wont melt it down, but do plan on cleaning it slightly with acid, I wont use a strong acid, jsut a light washy acid..what do you think? Thanks for the interest man.
