This tune is such a pleasure to hear again. The Los Angeles Times used to run these yellow-tinged oldtime newspaper photos as trailers in 1985 before the main feature was run in the theater. One of the trailers concerned smog--the announcer would tell of the late 1940s in Los Angeles, when "...thick black smoke would fill the air, causing smog" (yellow vintage photo of a woman burning garbage in her 1940s backyard incinerator). This is the music that played softly in the background.
See my earlier post. It is production music used by the film and tv industry, not a commercially available album. Go to killertracks site do a quick search of Lonely Nights and one of the hits that comes up is this track.
@nena2grl8 Nope.. You're not the only one... lol!! I noticed the age group that comments here are very close in age.. That means we were all kids watching classic movies late at night (hopefully not school night).. See!! Kids weren't ALWAYS into video games and G.I. Joes and My Little Pony, in those days.. We liked logical movies too.. Too bad todays kids don't see it the same way..
@tknockerson amen to that brother. it is funny my kids will never no that great world of the 70's and 80's. they have all that shit you mentioned and are still saying their board. I told them trying growing up with ten channels and that was our cable system. lol
I wish i could find this without the voice.

As a kid I once told a girl about the channel 44 late night movie theme and I told her how much I liked it and said, "It's sexy!"
