It's so easy to let your closet get out of control. Behind it's closed door are all sorts of items which really do not belong there.
This video, written and produced by Mission 2 Organize LLC, will help you decide what to remove in order to create more space for all of the things you need to easily access on a regular basis.

@ywrenr We agree that replacing a button is very easy to do. However many of our clients hold onto these stained/holey/broken items for years saying they will fix them, but they never do. Donating clothing to worthy causes is noble. Downsizing is about making more room for the things you already have that you love. Keeping things in the area where you actually use them saves you time, so you are re-organizing rather than cluttering another space. Reserve space in your closet for getting dressed

Not really very useful information.
Get rid of something just because of a missing BUTTON? Buttons are cheap. Buy some and repair the item, for crying out loud. You can sew on a button in the time it took the watch this video.
And the answer to decluttering a space isn't to clutter up another space.
The best tip for a lean, neat closet is smarter shopping. Stop buying things you don't need, use or that don't work with what you already own.
