lol! I can honestly say i have never heard that song before, although i guess you won't believe me cos they sound that similiar! The strings are just samples that are in the programme garage band, i guess alot of people would think of just adding a beat to it to make a song (it's not hard to do) but i have actually never heard that song until you commented :)

@gisforgillett Yeah but these are not preset phrases, as the comment below by gutsonfire, I only just got a Mac, had given up doing music after PCs and CuBase killed my inner child. GeregeBand is making me think again.

I understand that all these loops and instruments work in Logic too - Apple stripped Logic down to create GB right? Imogen Heap was saying she scetched out a track in GB before moving it to Logic (Shes a Pro Tools used normally)

Good, but needs some different strings, did you know with the green (MIDI) loops, you can change the instrument type? I do that all the time.

The violin is from GarageBand's preset loops. So, its not Fort Minor's OR Bo Burnham's. Anyone can use it, and they did. Bo even mentions before he sings his song Rant (which features this loop) that he used GarageBand to make his beats. Get over yourselves people.

I've been using Garage Band for years. As someone who knows what he is talking about, I think this is a pretty damn good composition. Around 40 seconds you change to a riff that has notes that go unexpectedly but tastefully out of the main scale. Shortly after 1 minute you do some very cool string & drum syncopation. Around 2 minutes the drums are a bit too repetitive and could use some more fills. Overall very nice. Returns frequently to the main riff but mixes things up well.
