This is a video I made for The Hold Steady's video contest. It tells the trials and tribulations of a girl after a night of ambiguous partying with interesting strangers. She then wakes up to a strange rope tied to her wrist. It is here the real story begins, filled with laughs, tears, and a strange little alien being. The payoff at the end gives meaning to the whole video!

it didn't fit the song super great, but what video really has to? i liked the idea you tried to pull off, even if your budget limited the equipment and casting and whatnot.
and the fact that 2 people tried to brutally attack you for it and you infused your responses with cheer and thanks is AWESOME. you are the anti-youtube, in the best way possible.

Really REALLY good song. Contrare to the creator I think it fits the song very well. I keep coming back to this vid when I want to listen to this song. It's properly good. Nice one :)

i haven't looked at this thing for many months now so i was surprised to see these comments, so i'll respond. thanks for the positive and negative comments, it's all good. obviously (i hope) you didn't think this song was trying to play out the message of the song in video format. it was just an idea i came up with and thought i could use it for the contest. my friend and i simply made it over two days for fun. she's going through the pages of waldo, it would be great on a bigger budget!

you tried sooo hard to be david lynch and failed so miserably. i know people shouldnt pass judgement on subjective matter...but OBJECTIVELY that sucked...just become an accountant

haha it's simply someone going through the pages of waldo on a nonexistent budget. no blue box, no murders, no little people, no cowboys, no david lynch. the thought didn't even cross my mind. thanks for watching though! ;)
