  • Well, nice to see that someone from Turkey appreciates Armenian painter from Russia...but Ivan Aivazovsky whose real name is Hovhannes Aivazyan rejected Turkish Sultan's medals after the first wave of Turkish massacres on Armenians...

  • Well, we don't care about Ivan's nationality but his works and art. We believe this is not art-related people's business. This is politic!

  • he was a big patriot for Armenia as u can see from my video abt him and it is not fair to make video abt him presenting him as Russian...he has paintings with singed in Armenian

  • Yes maybe you are right, as we said; we don't care about his nationality. Half Russian, half Armenian then.. Not only one.. If we say him "Armenian painter", somebody comes up and say "no, he is Russian!". Then again.. This is politic!

  • Levitan was Jew, Bagration was Georgian, Lermontov had highlanders roots, Aivasovski was Armenian... Pushkin has a part of black blood. What can I say? Russia is a great country!:)))

  • russian culture is great and people are very serious about education but you can't be ignorant about minorities

  • A real highly talented artist

  • Where this the painting off Russian-Turkish war ??

  • What is up with people. This is a video celebrating the work of a highly talented artist, and yet everybody, except goreombola, has to start bringing in race and politics. If his work concerned race or politics then fine, but they're just exceptional maritime paintings. It doesn't matter if he came from Armenia, Mongolia or outer space; why can't people just admire his work ?

  • I've seen Aivazovsky's paintings some time long ago and they are just impressive to look at. They are just massive and huge. And I've heard that he didn't use any models or reference points when painting. That he painted images from the back of his mind. If this is true then I can safely assume that he truly was the greatest painter in the world.

  • @miraclepd1 Pushkin was a waste.

  • @cowhidemoon Russian Citizen, Armenian by blood 100%.

  • @arammasiv23 Yeah like all us Armenians, why he changed his name I dunt know, like all us Armenians, he does amazing things, but does it in a way, that its a fuckin struggle every day jus to get acknowledgement hes Armenian!

  • @BeautySavesWorld, Abdullah Gul has 3 ORIGINAL Aivazovsky's in his office.

  • @kidzsanlorenzo What do these paintings have with communism? Is it a joke? Besides what is wrong with free medical care ? :)
