Sad, just sad...I went there as a kid. :( Why can't they just tear it down?

its funny this park could have still be opean if they added chlorin to the water

I was just there this past weekend and collected some video of my own of the old park. It's still there decaying even more as another year has gone by. Apparently they don't have any intentions of demolishing it since it's been sitting there totally dormant for at least 11 years now. Although they erected a tall green fence some years ago, you can easily stick your hand through it and quickly collect all the video you want. Some are even brave enough to climb over or find another way inside.

I remember to this day.. being about 5 or 6 and going on those slides at 0:25 how SCARED i was. I remember sitting at the top of those and just crapping my pants waiting for my mom to get to the bottom to catch me... oh the memories

it closed because theres an amoeba that lives in fresh water over 80 degrees that if you get it up yooure noes it kills you and the water in river country in summer would be over 80 and the pools had no chlroine which kills the amoeba
Seeing these things reminds me of the show "Life After People." where they show what it looks like after people just left things as is and plants take over.

Luckily for me, I never knew River Country... If its at Disney World somewhere, I've been there 3 times and never seen this stuff. I feel really bad for those who have been there and loved this place because I know how I would feel if my favorite Disney Parks were closed down, though.
