Ivory Tower [Theatrical Version]

A beautiful piece by Giorgio Moroder, for the 1984 fantasy film, The NeverEnding Story. The movie's official soundtrack didn't include the Ivory Tower theme that actually played in the film, and also missed out Ivory Tower's reprise theme altogether.

Hey Knightmessenger, thank you for correcting me there, I didn't actually know that little fact! Removing the dialogue was easy enough once the NeverEnding Story was released on Bluray, as the whole film had been updated in 6-channel surround sound, then it was just a matter of splicing out the centre channel. Waited ages for it to be released though lol. Your version has been a godsend though, clever splicing the two tracks like that!

not bad, but i like the german doldinger-version better, fits more into the ethereal style of the movie, specially wherethe ivory tower is concerned.

How did you take out the dialog and other sounds? For my version, I used both themes and swapped to whichever one had music only.

Also, this piece is by Moroder only who replaced some but not all of the music composed by Doldinger in the english version. The Ivory Tower themes from Doldinger which are only heard in the German version are a slow version of the flying theme.
