The snow of London outside my house. Most of London wakes up on 2nd February 2009 to find out scenes like these outside where they live :-)

The school of lubrication where I went to: http://www3.imperial.ac.uk/tribology

A short video looking at slippery ice and why it is not safe to drive on it. We only get snow like this once every 20 years and we'll enjoy every moment of it!

  • I've lived from Alaska to Florida. I love seeing the snow, but after 25 years of driving in it, it's kinda nice to not have that worry - lol

I do still love to see it.. and miss it.

  • Yeah I'd rather have it every now and then but I must say snow is a lot brighter than the usual London grey (that lasts like 10 months a year!)

  • Yeah it's not worth investing in something that will only happen once every twenty years. It was great fun though, pity it is melting away in London now though.

  • Haha, nice one. Driving in the snow isn't too bad as long as you know the physics of friction. :D - don't try to go up too steep an incline, and don't accellerate or brake too hard, and you should be ok crawling around at low revs in second. School of Lubrication - is that the Pub? :D

  • Thanks! The school of lubrication is a bit like the school of rock but all the kids learnt about lubrication there.

  • ha ha yeah thanks man.

  • School of lubrication , wtf ? , You must be a master at masturbation.

  • This is why I'm buying a pair of autosocks or snow chains this year

  • @TroubledParty I know but londons one of the warmest parts of the uk and even they got more than a foot :P

  • @19jacobob93 I'm not trying to brag, snow is a bitch. But If we were to do a run down of who has more snow by foot, I would win.

  • why do canadians comment on these videos like it some sort of 'coldest, snowiest country competition', do you not think that if everyone in london wanted a cold climate the would move to the yorkshire dales or even scotland? it you're canadian keep your comments to your self. :)

  • @TroubledParty i live in yorkshire, this year we had 2 feet, i dont know what youre bragging about

  • @mark40511 no london is one of the warmest parts of the uk, further north (w yorkshire) we had 3 feet :)

  • @Wingiluu yeah it is london afterall, scotland has a similar climate to finland, some parts of scotland had 24 feet this year! thats 8 metres :) lolol

  • I've driven in snow like this many times. Just take it nice and easy focus on the road and you'll be fine. However, if you take out your phone and start texting like a retard then you have a problem.

  • The problem here is not that you or me (I'm from Poland :) ) can't drive in snow - it's other people who have no idea about it, who have never heard of winter tires and who (if they work in council) have no idea that if meteorologist predict snow, you should buy enough sand & salt to keep main roads in a reasonable state, so that you can get to work without getting up early because of the jams on the roads.
