Travel through the Stone Forest of Yunnan Province, meet the Yi People, taste the many varieties of Mushrooms, eat Cow Liver and last stop to a Xin'Jiang Lamb skewer stand marinated with Cumin.

The Stone Forest, or 石林 (shilin) in Chinese, is located in Yunnan province not far from the province capital of Kunming. These Limestone structures span an area of about 350 square kilometers and rise up in such a way that they appeared as a stone forest to the ancient peoples of Yunnan province. These structures are said to be over 270 Million years old and are designated as a UNESCO world heritage site. The forest is still used in celebratory rituals by the Yi people who hold dances and wrestling competitions on the 24th day of the 6th lunar month as part of the annual Torch Festival. Here we see a traditional folk dance with the men playing traditional string instruments and the women in traditional costume.
