I was just sharing about the old school live recordings. That what they were. I appreciate the older live recordings much better without all of the overdubs which takes the live sound away. Thanks for sharing.
Oh how well I remember this artist! She had a song, "The Time Is Now", I learned it and sang it a lot. So nice of Johnzoe777 to share this with us. Did she also do a song, Sunshiny Day?....
Back in the day when they recorded a live recording they didn't do a lot of overdubbing what ever we heard in a recording that what we got when we bought the LP,mistakes and all for the most part. The live recording back in the day was off the hook you can hear everything, the saints shouting, praising God,hands clapping, the tambourine playing, the washboard, the foot stomping.
Sing Myrna. I Live Not To Far From This church. They Used To Have All the Big Gospel legneds There. Like James more, issac Douglass And More. I didnt Even Know Myrna Was there Right Under my nose.lol
Honestly I believe the recording companies edit OUT the shouting. Live recordings sound like studio recordings. That's why I don't buy much Gospel now. If I do buy anything it's something old from the 80s. Yes I still have my ALBUMS too and I still play mine as well.
I appreciate you guys who post this music on here. It brings back memories . I have most of the recordings you all post on here and yes i still play my records. There's nothing like gospel from this time period!! Keep it up!!
hey can you post Myrna Summers Have Faith In God from this album Please???
