This is my first new cover with my new guitar. A Paul Reed Smith SC-250. What can I say, it's awesome.

I was practicing a bunch of songs, ironically this one was the fastest I picked up. It's kind of unusual cause I play this one completely with my fingers which I've never done before. It just felt natural. The trickyness is to pluck at the same rate, lots of times I pluck too hard or soft and well.. it gets either too loud or you can't hear anything. For good measure there's a few mistakes as well heh heh... It's also hard to hear with all the crazy off effects and filler that is in the song (it would really throw me off, listening it on headphones is like... woah what the hell was that!!).

I redid this and uploaded it SEVERAL times. My capo just wasn't making some strings come out in tune it was a real pain and as much as I enjoyed playing it I just didn't like how each one sounded. I originally had this posted earlier, but I did it again because my 6th string wasn't in tune when I listened to it. Also a 2nd version sounded like the 3rd string was OUT. I think this is a better "sounding" version that I am happy with finally. The capo was hard to get the right pitches out perfectly. The good thing about doing this over and over though, was that I made less and less mistakes in the recording.

This song is just super sexy sounding.

I am using a straight to the amp sound with only my neck pickup. It sounds awesome, we'll go for some jazzy stuff!. I've played some other heavier material on the 250 and it sounds wicked, can't wait to upload that as well.

Enjoy as always.

  • roger waters once said and i quote just because you a les paul gutair dosent mean you can play like eric clapton remember that

  • not sure your angle...

  • nice guitar. paul reed smith im prety shure

  • yes it is an SC250

  • Hey, I've been playing guitar for years and I can honestly say this is a great rendition! I've dealth with capo issues a lot myself over the years, and this is my conclusion about solving capo/tuning issues: if you're performing an entire song with a capo, tune your guitar AFTER putting it on. Depending on the angle a capo is placed, certain strings will have greater or less pressure applied, hence being out of tune. HENCE why tuning after works best. Once again, great job!

  • I actually should have bought an adjustable one, so can you adjust the pressure that it puts on it. Whatever just took a little more time to get started.

  • @KidAfaces16

just put the capo on the fret, and not between the frets

  • @mrmakaveli864 it would also make the song easier and less sloppy

  • nice cover but im pretty sure thom plays with a pick while muting some strings giving it that nice sound.

  • great song and brilliant cover dude

  • By the way, good cover. What's with the people saying the rhythm's messed up? Did they just listen to the first 5 seconds or something?

  • @petemendozaM16 I think what Roger was trying to say with that was even with the same equipment not every group sounds the same. The rest of the quote was "If you give a man an amp and a synthesizer, he doesn't become whoever. He doesn't become us." Which kind of explains what he was getting at.

  • ajajaja I'm a Les Paul guitar? Not human after all?jaja Clapton plays Fenders most of the time.He has his own signature guitar, you douche.Roger waters is a really great musician though

  • That's right. Because to play like Clapton, you need a Stratocaster. That's all it takes.

  • agreed. but the rythem was only really bad at the beginning.
