"Trees migrate"? WHAT?!?!? Eurogoldexchange, you have no clue what you are talking about. Do you think lowering CO2 levels might be harmful to plants that depend on it for survival? What about the oxygen they produce for all animal life to breathe? Can we exist with lowered O2 levels? Think before you speak. I learned those basic science lessons in elementary school. CO2 levels don't lower. It stays up there and there is no way back if it turns out to be harmfull, which is evident to most people with some sense of reality.

If you worry about oygen worry about the 40% reduction (due to CO2 increase) in oceanic phytoplankton that provides roughly 25% of the oxygen on earth.

And yes, trees migrate. Their seeds fall and grow but each generation has a limited distance it can cover, which limits the MIGRATION of tree species.

Instead the guilt and fears of the general public are leveraged by choosing CO2 as the "dangerous gas" since it's linked to energy production and (indirectly) in the minds of the public with guilt over how our progress and way of life may inevitably doom our planet.

With the pseudo scientific-guilt premise now in place, the "concerned and informed leaders" offer to save the earth - via TAXATION??

The whole issue is that CO2 is supposed to be causing runaway global warming due to the tiny (and I mean TINY - less than a single %) increase in CO2 that mankind is responsible for.

This is nonsense because CO2 is a trace gas, and moreover, it is very far from being the chief greenhouse gas. What is? Water vapour (H2O).

So do we put plastic covers over the oceans and try to prevent as much rainfall as possible to "save the planet"?

Global warming (or climate change) is not even a debated topic in the academic community. It is 100% proven and there are only two types of people who claim not to believe in global warming. 1) Those who know it is happening but still spread the doubt eg. Special interest groups like Exxon 2) Uneducated people. Those are the facts.
