A who's who of Michigan running turned out to see the legendary coach, Arthur Lydiard, in person, at Utica High School Monday evening, November 1, 2004. Sponsors Keith and Kevin Hanson of Hansons Running Shops, Curt Munson and Brian Jones of Playmakers, and Ed and Sue Kozloff of the Motor City Striders were all on hand to welcome the 87 year old New Zealand coach. Coach Lydiard passed away on December 19, 2004, just a few weeks after his Michigan visits.
As a non native english speaker I would sure appreciate if some one could trans scribe or CC the words. I find it kind of hard to catch the words of master Lydiard. Kind of a bummer for me.

Running 2hours 39mins for a marathon at 51 is tremendous-it's good at any age. However, you have take into account ability. Not everybody has the ability to run a 2.39 marathon no matter how they hard train.
