  • Tony randall didn't seem excited

  • Heh, seriously. There's another instance on the nighttime version with Bill Cullen where this lady he played with went NUTS after winning the $25k and he just sat there and laughed.

  • Was Tony Randall on the new $25,000 pyramid as a guest on CBS?

  • No, the last version he appeared on was the $50,000 one.

  • Gotta love Elaine Joyce!! She ran up to offer a bit of distraction from Tony Randall's cockiness (Hey, it's Tony Randall being Tony Randall--gotta love that too!!) The contestant wanted to celebrate and cheer, but oh well...

I will say one thing though, she most likely missed out on having her win replayed in the beginning of another show (lol)!!

  • Tony Randall: literate, bright, cultured, personable, compassionate . . . one of a kind! We miss you and hope that your example will resound!

  • 1:20 I doubt that's the first time Tony Randall has heard a woman scream that at him :D

  • every time an icon like tony randall passes away, i feel like i age a couple of years

  • Tony was a cool customer.

  • Reminds me of my grandfather. Too cool.

  • Tony Randall was not a man that would jump up and down with excitement. But deep down, he loved to win for the contestant. He is well missed.

  • They once played a gag on Tony Randall by using answers that were written in an Asian language. Does anybody have that one to post?

  • Just another day in the office for Randall. He definitely was a Pyramid player par excellence indeed along with Nipsey Russell, Adrienne Barbeau, Dick Cavett, Bill Cullen, these folks were pros indeed.

  • I guess the judge likes to let Tony get by with illegal clues: At 0:21, you can hear him say, "You're close..."

  • Tony was born at the beginning of the 1920s and Dick was born at the end of the 1920s.
