Crazy Gorilla Drummer - Plays One Drop (Reggae Drumming)

Crazy Gorilla Drummer plays several variations of "One-Drop" or reggae drum beats, including a reggae play-a-long from Tommy Igoe's "Groove Essentials" book/CD.

One drop is characterized mostly by the fact that the bass drum and cross-stick in unison enforce the backbeat or "one" drop in the beat.

Crazy Gorilla Drummer says "Drop the bass drum heavy on beat 2 and 4 and accent the hi-hat on the +'s and you'll be alright...."
