Islam was founded in the 7th century AD, about 500-600 years after Christianity really took off. What was Christianity like 500-600 years ago? Intolerant, war mongering, witch burning, crusading, homophobic, racist, imperialistic... Religions do take time to evolve and change and deradicalize. Islam is about at the level where Christianity was 500-600 years ago. Now of course that's no excuse, but that puts it into perspective.

But there is no way around it: Islam is a violent religion.

Where do you find such tolerance of other faiths\ thoughts.

Problem with West & Muslims is that of exploitation & natural resistance to it.

@Corristo89 I think you just proved that both religions are fucked up. Both Christianity and Islam preach violence in their books...granted Islam preaches MORE violence but both are fucked up. Why don't we get ride of both because this is the 21st century and none of these religions are helping mankind. They are both stone age desert religions that make life unnecessarily hard.
