I agree with you. It's just a TV sport now. The fans in the stands are simply props who are expected to clap when they're supposed to clap and yell when they're supposed to yell. Television has changed all sports to the point where there is no sense in even going to the game any more.

In 1982 we ran out onto the field and celebrated. Everyone is too PC and corporate anymore to do something crazy like that. They just jump up and down in their seats while the millionaires on the field do their thing. It's nowhere near as much fun. Here's a quick question for you: When was the last time the fans tore down the goal posts after an NFL game? It's probably been since the '70's, at least.
