Important thing to remember. 'Sample Based Hip Hop' was performed by some of THE BEST MUSICIANS in the world! I personally did a track and used The Staple Singers, Stevie Wonder and the Rolling Stones along with my drum machine. I really hope someone isn't going to try to fix their mouth to tell me some damned retard on Frooty Loops is gonna come tighter than that??? MTX: I feel ya. It is sad that youngins who CLAIM to know what Hip Hop is, don't even and CAN'T even recognize one of the MOST FUNDAMENTAL ELEMENTS of HipHop, that being the SCRATCH. It's simple - when you allow eMpTyV, and mainstream media to define what Hip Hop is, and when you have too many ignorant elders and youngsters who HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT REALLY IS, then you have the blind leading the blind.
