This is my first 'live' presentation so don't be too harsh. ;)

This is not so much a tutorial video as an introduction to my addon and what I intend it to be used for. It is also a presentation of my current progress.

BRIK (Blender Ragdoll Implementation Kit) is an addon for Blender that I'm working on. It is the first addon that I have attempted to develop.

My aim is to provide a fairly simple workflow for implementing ragdoll meshes from within the Blender Game Engine.

By using an armature as a template, the addon will generate a rigid body structure consisting of rigid bodies joined together with rigid body joints. This will drive an armature to act like a ragdoll as seen in many games, particulary FPSs when a grenade is thrown into an unsuspecting group of mobs. =D

The addon is currently under active development and I am working on a simple shooting game to fully test the ragdolls created by the addon.

As can be seen in the video, there are a few issues in workflow that need to be ironed out and I am the first to point out that there are optimisations needed in the various scripts that comprise the addon. Having said this, I believe that the addon is ready for preliminary testing and would appreciate any feedback that people might have.

Any suggestions for methods to improve this addon would be best provided in my WIP thread at:
http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?t=199191

The addon in it's current state can be downloaded from:
