His version of Superman 2 was never theatrically released of course...Richard Lester gets the on screen credit having taken over the Job when Richard Donner left. I've seen the re-edited new version of Superman 2 with most of Donners material restored to it. I think it was a great idea to do that but reckon they went too far and some scenes really should have remained on the cutting room floor. The test footage should never have found its way into it for a start.

What are your thoughts on Zack Snyder directing the Superman Reboot with Christopher Nolan?

Its well worth seeing - you'd be astonished as to how much unseen footage is used in the new version and how much the story is changed because of it. Many key moments are completely changed and the ending is totally different. The Eifel tower scene is completely replaced! I don't agree with some of the changes, a better balance could have been struck - but its well worth getting on DVD.
