This selection of Fieldworks are part of an ongoing experiment with ambiental video and radio frequencies, a sort of landscape video notes I have been developing since 2000, with this work I try to capture the atmospheric qualities of a landscape through visual and audio field recordings captured on location. Using image and sound asa sort of spatial instrument, I am interested in short waves signals and VLF, their atmospheric qualities and sound, capturing the radio waves in each of the landscape I portray, allows me to grasp another dimension of it.
A sort of enhanced perception. I am interested also in the asynchronous randomness of the relation between soundtrack and film. I see this work as a sort of post structural film, where documentary and experimental film manners meet.

I couldn't agree more. I've made a couple videos about the differnfces in why and for what the Aboriginals (Inuit/Inuk/etc.) hunt for. For reasons of necessity, this is has been the way of life for millenia. You should have seen these guys trying to plant their first tomato garden, it wasn't pretty. ;-)
Check out my video "Inuit vs Commercial Seal Hunt". In fact since White settlers didn't eat Muttuk (whale skin) many died from scurvy. This was is the only way to survive for many. Bless.

All the animals are precious, that's why they are not hunting for the furs, they are hunting for survival, that's their subsistence, that' s how they keep themselves alive. That is their way of life.

When are we going to learn that all animals are precious, any fur can be imitated with synthetics. Yet the man animal still has to go out to club these tiny babies.
