This is the simplest way i've found to convert a mini Maglite to LED. Just trim the leads on most any 3mm (except Infrared) and plug it in. Polarity counts. Check out www.MicroTek.mybisi.com we sell all kinds of cool nerd toys... Enjoy!!

  • "tactical uses." What are you fighting? The Mexican army! What a retard!

  • @ChaffKing maybe I'm looking at a map of your neighborhood... does anyone read the description anymore? Fuck...

  • What a waste of good flashlight. You can't see two feet ahead of you with that LED bulb that is designed as an indicator lamp and not a light!

  • @PlainzGenius Yet another person who didn't read the description... There are many tactical uses for a dim light... Didn't anyone ever tell you if you don't have anything nice to say, to shut the fuck up?

  • what? aren't leds rated by volts instead of millimeters? will any led run on any voltage? any idea how long it will last?

  • @nlty2000 3mm is the diam. of the led... They call for 2 to 3 volts without a resistor, and would be ideally driven on 3 volts with a 150 Ohm resistor. They call for 200 mA Thanks for watching my video!

  • The newest Mini Maglites have 14 Lumen LED's instead of a bulb. Although I'm sure this trick will still work if you want to install more/less powerfull LED's/bulbs, or even a 100mw+ laser diode as Kipkay mentioned in his project.

  • Lie.

  • @ChaffKing I lol'd at this. Mexican Army xDD

  • @MicrotekMybisi its still useless for realistic use. i did read the description. all you mention is a website, hot to do it, and "This is the simplest way i've found to convert a mini Maglite to LED". thumbs down for you.

note. for this to be brighter (like what people want) you should get a high brightness led with a very narrow viewing angle

  • thank you so much for this video!! did you drill or modify the reflector

  • you are so cool!

  • @MicrotekMybisi Whats in the description? I couldnt read it ;-)

  • Great idea - will test with various LEDs!

  • but u got a thumbs up from me
