  • Not to butt in on this conversation. But check out on eBay the "omnisonic volume box" it's like $20. You can crank your amp up for that sweet tone and use the volume box for your volume. Sweet tone at any level! I use on all the time! But it runs through your effects loop that the valve jr doesn't have... But I modded mine and put a loop in!

  • @RxRotaryForLife Thanks for the info. I'll look it up.

  • @RxRotaryForLife I looked up the volume box. It work on my amp due to the fact that it has both preamp in and power amp out jacks. I might just get one.

  • @RxRotaryForLife I have a Fender Blues DeVille.

  • My honest opinion is that a VVR by Hall Amplification is a far better way to turn things down compared to the 10-uator. Plus it's cheaper, which is always a plus. I have BitoMo trio which is a good intro to the mods. but honestly you can do with out it if you do a little more research. my two cents.

  • @guycalleddave I've read many comments from experienced modders who have done similar mods to the Bitmo for a lot less. However, this was my first foray into amp modification territory, so I chose Bitmo because of the clearly written, easy-to-follow instructions. I'm glad I did because my results were outstanding. I had never heard of the Hall VVR. I checked it out on the Hall web site, and it seems really good. Thanks for the info.

  • Cool I'm glad it'll work for ya! It's worth a shot to see if ya like it for $20... I bought one then made all the rest on almost all my amps, Marshall artist 30, fender hot rod deville, Roland bolt 60 head, evj... Just to name a few... Let me know what ya think when u get it. And honestly it's the easiest thing in the world to make. If you want I can draw ya a schematic and u could prolly make it cheaper lol.

  • @Durberville1 Thank you, thank you. That's exactly what I wanted to hear. As a former teacher, my goal is to help people with their projects.

  • Absolutly fantastic as usual , Your vids give me the confidence to try DIY mods like this, please keep it up !

  • Thank you. I appreciate it.
