Yeah, you have every right to have an opinion, I'm not disputing that. But it's a bit out of order to say something sucks simply because you don't personally like it. It's not to your taste, but that doesn't make it shit. I never implied that because you didn't make it, you can't hate it. And yeah, as do I. No, it's not justified at all. You're talking about two different performance types. You're comparing acts who write all their own songs and play their own instruments, with acts who sing and dance at the same time. And if you want to talk about album sales, then by that logic, Michal Jackson is single handedly better than every Metal band. Just because a band isn't more popular than another, doesn't mean they suck

And just because I'm not touring with a huge successful band does not I can't state my opinion about them, that's what opinions are for. That would be like telling somebody "Since you did not produce this album, you can not hate it." It doesn't matter how successful they are, it won't stop me from having an opinion. Besides, I actually do have a band and we do local shows at the moment. What would you say if I do happen to get to where they are at? Would be I allowed to say they suck then??

It is justified to compare two different genres in this case. We are talking about album sales, not guitar ability or shredding. You implied that the bands you listed were good because they sell shows, and I am saying just because you can get millions of people that like you to see you doesn't mean you are musically talented. Every band has fans and do shows regardless of how shitty they are, just look at Limp Bizkit and Nickelback.

Comparing metal bands to pop bands is like comparing Bill Gates and Tony Blair! Pointless! And in all fairness, the fact that they have the balls to go in front of hundreds and even thousands of people and perform, and entertain their audiences, is pretty commendable!

And until you can do better than them, you can't slag them off. Sure, you have an opinion, and you can say whether you like them or not, but don't slate what you can't best
