ok not trying to knock the bike but i hear the 06 -08 are the slowest of the zx6r's anyone know if this is true or not cause i'm looking at a bike kinda like this one and i dont wanna buy it if i can just wait a little bit longer and get an 09

On the roads mate you won't notice any difference. Down to the rider really. If you want to scare yourself get a 1000! lol

@CHOPERUS23 well honestly i've been considering it people say to start on a 600 cause a 1000 will kill you well maybe for an idiot how goes out and trys to top it out just after a couple of weeks but i've got friends who all started out with the zx10r and i'm really considering the 09 zx10r but i like the 08 zx6r just didnt want to get and inferior bike when i could have dont better ya know

Go for a 1000 if you can afford to run it mate. Reason I got a 600 was it was ideal for a beginner as you can ride it normaly under 10k rpm but past that between 10 and 16 thats when the power comes in! and it's so loud. Get a 600 you won't be dissapointed. On the twisty roads it's the same as a 1000 if not better handling.

@BowtechmanTC I have the 06 zx6-r and it has bigger engine than 07 and 08, thats why it is called 636 ninja. My friend have 07 ninja and it's only 600

@CHOPERUS23 f1rst of all learn to r1de on small eng1nes ex: 150cc , 250cc , then u can go onto b1gger t1ngs l1ke 500cc, or 600cc, dude ur not ur fr1ends, noone r1des the same,everyone 1s un1que so dont talk bout others, f1rst learn to r1de then u w1ll fly h1gh
