Golf Chipping Instruction

The golfer's wrists seem to break far too much after impact in this vid, which is in opposition to what they're actually saying. I imagine when this style of chip goes wrong it will lead to skulls and weak scooped shots. 3 stars.

Just use this idea.

A (low) chip travels 1/3 in the air and 2/3 on the ground.
A pitch travels 2/3 in the air and 1/3 on the ground.

The distance needed requires more or less loft. SW/PW for 3-10 meters. A 9-8-7 iron for >10m.

So if the fairway/rough is more than 1/3 of the area to the pin, use a more pitched shot (either a pitch or a high chip)

Always try to land the ball on the green.

Callaway irons, and personally i'd go with Nike wedges.
