Watching this made me curious as to what was said before the meal, so I google'd "Japanese pre-meal blessing" and I found (on wikipedia):

"In Japan it is customary to put one's hands together and say "Itadakimasu" ('receive' humble) before a meal."

Good to learn something new. ^^
