  • Although it may sound tempting to get rid of pain, it can actually cause more pain. By numbing the lower half you are limiting use of the lower half of your body, which is the very part of your body that births your baby. That slows down your progress because your body is'nt able to work at full capacity. If you pass on the drugs your body is then able to release it's own pain killer hormones that work perfectly and help your progress without slowing you down.

  • @sevilla84 Lmao that's what epi's do, the only work on half of your body... Awks...

  • 33 weeks along with my first and totally terrified of the big day :(

  • @OfficialCourtney Well i would say that your first labor should be on epi ( in my opinion ) Because it lasts longer, lot more pain to go through (in general at 1st child) then for 2nd and more labors you can go natural because it goes faster and better (in normal circumstances)

  • @OfficialCourtney i know right.

  • Epidural does not always work the way it's supose to. When my sister gave birth it only worked on half of her body. When a friend of mine gave birth they had to turn off the epidural because the baby was stressed. So if you do not find a way to manage pain whitout drugs you might panic if you cant get any.

  • Screw that natural birth crap. I want a seditive that could knock out Secretariet...

  • BRING ON THE DRUGS! YEAH! srsly, i've seen what goes on down there during birth and after seeing that, I've made the decision that if I have a baby then I will give birth COMPLETELY OUT OF IT. Injected, swallowed, whatever. My body will need DRUGS
