Yeah, we're jealous we're not as rude, inconsiderate, obnoxious and pushy as you Armos. I am old enough to remember what an absolutely beautiful city Glendale used to be before you bastards started pouring in. Armos ruined it, just like they ruin every place they colonize. Did anyone ask you to come here? No, but I'll bet plenty would like to see every one of you go back the hell where you came from. Get out of our country.

Armenians are caucasion, last time I checked. You're teetering toward Godwin's Law with your charges of racism. Better scroll down and see what you had to say about Mexicans, you fucking hypocrite. I'll bet you do things I wouldn't even comprehend. Like welfare fraud maybe?

Ah, pues, Señor Robles. Me alegro que su familia vivía aquí en los EEUU cuando se formaron las primeras rocas y antes de los árboles.
Que lástima, la mía, no. Llegamos por nave. Así, todos somos imigrantes "at some point."
Claro, menos los búfalos.
Por eso, juzgo cada persona, persona por persona. No me imorta si vienen de Armenia, Irán o dondequiera.
Paz.

Why are you using all caps? Is screaming the only way you can get your point across? You are quite an ignoramus. Who are the "we' in your statement about all of us being immigrants at some point? I was never an immigrant anywhere at anytime. Most of the people I know are not nor have they ever been immigrants in this country or any other country. Perhaps we should all vote thumbs up to keep idiots like you from making stupid, uninformed comments on this thread. You're a moron.

It snowed in December 1949. My parents lived in Sunland and I was born during the snow storm. We lived in S-T until the early 70s. Loved the area. LaCrescenta and eastward is a little nicer but S-T still has it's charm.....in the spring when there's been lots of rain. The only time I really didn't like it was in August.

I Live in Tujunga now not to far from Commerce and WOW I wish I lived here when it looked like that ! I honestly hate this town because its such a crap hole now. Its amazing how much of a difference there is from this video and the present. All filled with tweakers and bums now. Its really sad..
Ive lived in Tujunga for 26yrs. I honestly just wish it was still like in these photos. the monte vista tavern looks amazing!

@StockingsTube
glad you liked it. I remember playing in that building (after it had been abandoned, and before it was razed)...it was about a block away from Sunland Park.
Things sure aren't the way they used to be!

Good job @ 1:01, where would that be. Crazy it snowed! 1951?
Geographically the area is very beautiful! But something has happened here over the decades. It went downhill fast. Every kid I know who went to Verdugo said it SUCKED. Any more info on this? Also, driving here is annoying, mostly because all the streets are destroyed, and speed bumps are getting added everywhere. I wished I could move to LaCrescenta

Thanks for your comments.
The area shown at 1:01 is Foothill Bl., at Commerce Ave. facing east. Where the Texaco station was, is now a used car lot.
