Castlevania (NES) - Stage 6 [High Definition]

Stage 6 - Final stage, the first part with the huge vampire bats can be tricky. Just hit the ones above you and jump over the ones that are below you to avoid being hit. This does not always work, but I would say 80% of the time it will. The second part while inside the castle can also be very hard, but follow the strategy I used (stopwatch) and you should be able to get through all that mayhem without taking a hit.

The final boss is of course Dracula and you fight him in two forms. In his first, you must land hits in his head and avoid the fireballs he shoots at you. Second form, much more like it! Just throw holy water to freeze him, again deliver hits to the head..repeat and soon he will be VANQUISHED!

Final words for this game....well any Castlevania game to me is classic and this is true for this one with it being the original and all. I remember playing this just after I got my NES as a kid. I loved it, I had it along with Simons quest and I liked both of them. But this one is far more straight forward, of course. The game has good music, good level design (despite somtimes looking like a maze with stairs that often lead to nowhere) and it is fun to play. It is however diffucult at times and can press your patients!!! But still definitelly a classic and this scores a 9/10 for me.

also a question? when i fought the second part the (first/only time tonight cuz i got to annoyed with the first guy.) i froze him with holy water and whipped him like u did. did this twice than he jumped a bit and fireed fire balls at me...i never see him do that to u? like 2:50ish he did a jump like that and when he froze fired fire balls at me and i died :( does he normally do that? or was it just me?

idk if its just a glitch in the game or if my emulator/rom is bugged but it seems unless i literally have 1/4-more often a 1/2 the whip throw his head after perfect timnig the jump to hit him asap the hit dont register and sometimes it just dont count my hit at all.
