I took one of these that I borrowed from a friend on my last hunting trip and I lost it during our 200 km snowmobile trip back about half way, thank god the thing is bright orange because someone found it and returned it to my buddy 2 days later.

Another use could be for a deployed soldier, in the event of internet phone blackout, (those who have deployed know what i mean) just hit your Ok button and let your family know your ok
