Cass and Frankie 1990--Rescuing Rachel Cory

Frankie finds another pilot, and Cass finds a gun, and after Frankie agrees to let Cass carry the gun since he, like she, is licensed to carry firearms, they head out. They arrive in the desert and start looking for Rachel, and Frankie refuses to let Cass go off without her. Frankie senses that something is very wrong, and there are disturbed souls in the desert. Cass agrees, saying one of them is Ken Jordan. But that's not what Frankie means. Cass tells Frankie she's spooking him with this spirit talk. As they head off in search of Rachel, another gun-toting goon, a different man than the one who tied Cass and Frankie up in the hangar, follows after them.

Cass and Frankie find Rachel in a cave, dirty and with broken ribs. Rachel is stunned that Cass and Frankie came after her. Cass explains that they knew something was wrong, and Frankie says they can't handle Ken by themselves. The gun-toting goon then barges into the cave and tells the trio not to make a sound or he'll kill all three of them. Frankie calls the gunman a bozo. Cass tells her to be nice to the man with the gun. Rachel says this is the man who was after Ken, because he wanted the sacred vessels. Frankie calls the gunman an idiot and asks him if he wants to burn in Hell. The gunman tells Cass, Frankie, and Rachel all three to put their hands out in front. Rachel says that she can't because her ribs are broken. The gunman doesn't care and orders her to put her hands in front of her. Rachel complies and then throws a fistful of dirt in the gunman's face. Cass uses his gun to knock out the goon. Cass tells Rachel, "Way to go"; she says anytime; Frankie asks if they can get out of there now. Rachel refuses to believe Cass and Frankie about Ken wanting to cause her harm and says that he's not in partnership with these goons, he's trying to stop them from stealing the sacred vessels he and Rachel found because Ken told her he wanted to return the sacred vessels to the descendants of the original tribe they belonged to. Cass tells Rachel that there's a lot she doesn't know about Ken Jordan, including the fact that he may be responsible for Mac's death.
