Koraput, June 11 (ANI): Ex-Member of Koraput Legislative Assembly Taraprasad Bahinipati in Orissa on Friday said that Maoism could best be tackled through economic development of the affected areas. In the wake of the mobilization of paramilitary forces that has begun under the state sponsored Operation Green hunt, the leaders claimed that Maoist insurgency cannot be curtailed solely by using force. Instead, they have suggested that the central government formulate a development programme for the tribals to curb the Maoist menace in Orissa. Taking a strong stance against the central government's offensive, the leaders said that the Maoist menace is directly related to the breakdown of development activities in Orissa.
