great video . . . can you advise how you would make the other half of a different color but attached to and made part of the first half to make the whole square, i.e. one full granny square with the color change diagonally across the square . . . I have not been able to figure this out and would appreciate your help . . . thanks

@shatzi03 You can do this by changing color at the halfway point. If you turn on each round, you will be able to come back and pick up the previous color. If you do not want to turn and want the stitches on one side, you will have a lot of tails to sew in.

why do you chain 3 and THEN turn?

@jmdeserna You can turn and chain 3. The order does not matter. The chain 3 counts at the first stitch. You will see different variations for the step up to the next row/round.

it doesn't show where you are inserting your needle, I kept coming up odd. show where your needle is, you have no corners when you haven't made one. most of the video is great, but you don;t show all your inserts of the needle. sorry.

I'm having a TERRIBLE time understanding the instructions for the half-and-half granny square. I suppose b/c I am a visual learner (which is why I love your channel!) If you ever do a tutorial on a half-and-half granny square, please let me know! And thank you for taking the time to make all your videos. . I know where to look when I need help!

sorry Teresa but I cannot figure this out without seeing it . . . I have the exact instructiosn that are in the book for doing it correctly, and I can send these to you but don't know if you want them here on this site . . . I will try anything but think I am stumped until I see a video . . . sorry
