ALIEN (floating in outer space):

greetings!
i'm a friendly alien.

my home is far away!

i really like your planet.

just stopping by to say
that
your planet earth
is beautiful.

but...

- truth be told -

not everything is beautiful
in your beautiful world.

SUFFERING PEOPLE OF THE WORLD (crying):

help me!

please help me!

ALIEN:

i can hear this!

there
is
suffering:

poverty,
hunger,
disease.

shouldn't someone
do something?

can something be done?

is
there
a solution?

UNITED NATIONS (appearing):

here
is
one:

in the year 2000,

we,

the united nations,

adopted
the millennium
declaration.

nations of the world

set
goals

to
build
a more
peaceful
and
just
world.

we
have
pledged
to combat what's bad -

this:

poverty,
inequality,
hunger,
disease.

we will work hard

to promote
what is good and fair:

freedom,
respect for nature,
gender equality,

health,
solidarity,
and education!

ALIEN (saluting):

thank you
for making
world a better place,
united nations!

UNITED NATIONS (marching):

we'll
work
on this
together!

we'll
save
the world!

we'll
make
things
beautiful
on beautiful earth!
