Near Andres, IL

The tornado at its widest. I wanted to be closer. :/

  • I know this road! You guys were on Wilmington-Peotone going east, weren't you? I live between Manhattan and Monee, my house was right in there. My dad and I were outside watching it, it was awesome!

  • Yeah, the blacktop. :)

  • It was very thrilling to witness. Yes thank the good Lord it didn't take a more northerly track.

  • Nice. I take that every day to school.

  • That was about 3 miles from my house!!!

  • You probably will, eventually. I live in Oklahoma. One thing, though, they are no joke. Unless you have a death wish and massive balls, you don't really want to see one unless you can quickly get to cover/you know what you're doing. I chase them when I can, but sometimes it's just too silly and dangerous.

  • i might be moving to oklahoma from oregon (from earthquakes to tornadoes)...i hope to see one while i live there...

  • i know if it would have it would have hit my town. i got the very edge of this storm.

  • this is by my house and ot passed over where i live...lockport homer and orland! yes!

  • wow,,thats one big storm
