Attend Congressman Jim Gerlach's Lower Merion Transit Summit
Thursday, October 2nd, 2008
Lower Merion Township Building, Board of Commissioners Room
Township Administration Building
75 East Lancaster Avenue
Ardmore, PA 19003-2323
7-9pm
Presentations will be made by SEPTA and Amtrak and will be followed by a question and answer period. Opening comments will be made by the Congressman. This is YOUR opportunity to ask these transit entities questions and to tell them your issues with them
Live near a railroad? Near some tracks or a station? How is the property upkeep? Did they kill your garden with systemic herbicides? Did they clear cut ALL trees instead of just ones that were near wires? As a neighbor what are your issues? As a rail or bus commuter, what are your issues? Do you think service stinks? Do you worry about not getting the kind of train station your community needs if you are due for station upgrades, or as in the case of Ardmore, a NEW station? How do you feel about night track work? Handicap accessibility? Is YOUR station ADA compatible and accessible? What about legislation called TRID? What do you know about that? What have you always wanted to say to Amtrak and Septa but never have had the opportunity? Now is your chance.
