  • That's a M109A6 Paladin, and I'm pretty sure that it's not the 82nd using it as it can't be airdropped. Nonetheless, the Paladin is a rather fantastic piece of equipment. GPS digital uplink, satellite comm system, hydraulically layed and targeted with targeting precision unseen in previous artillery...it's a while new way of conducting artillery operations. Served 5 years in Germany with the 1st Infantry Division, and I was never disappointed in its capabilities.

  • I was under the impression that a M119 was a 105 howitzer in TOWED artillery, hell either way my old man would be impressed, he was a muzzle fucker in Vietnam with a 105mm in 68 and 69 they could pull 6 rounds in 30 seconds fire for effect, I'm thinking of joining also, got a friend back from his second tour in Iraq and a few over in Afghanistan, but what do you guys think of this new artillery?
