Kinect Motion Capture Part 1

Motion capture result using the Kinect, Motionbuilder and 3dsMax.

Imported animation onto a biped using FBX. Smoothed curves (Butterworth filter), constrained feet to ground plane and corrected shoulders in Motionbuilder.
Cleaned up some random bone rotations in Max. Still need to stop the feet from sliding though.

Wow this is great. Do you think this is the best cheap motion capture solution at the moment? Or if you spend a bit more can you get like 5 webcams and still get Realtime mocap? I mean, Is there something NOT as expensive as optitrack ?

@ChimeraProd Not sure. Seen a webcam system by ipisoft.com. Results look better than the Kinect but setup and space requirements are more of an issue. Kinect is probably the quickest way. Not sure about the cheapest though.

This is so great I, the best so far I belive. Could you tell more about the clean up and smoothening you are using anf how you get the bvh files to work so goog in 3ds max?
