Associating cases with their numbered citation first may be an easier way for you to memorize them as the citations are in chronological order which helps for "stare decisis" analyses as well. Practice with your favorites list for argument by renameing the link with the numeric citation and name or numeric citation alone for flash card style technique then try this memeory technique in your oral argument preparation: "226 U.S. 491 (1913) is the citation to the case of Adams Express Company vs. Croninger there the United States Supreme court held ...." also works with spiral bound index cards.
