This is my second experimental video about Linux and KDE that demonstrates how much advanced and powerful is this OS and this GUI.
It also shows virtual desktops running different wallpapers AND widgets, something that was a dream for the Linux world a few years ago and it will remain a distant utopia for the closed-overpriced ms windows world.
Moreover it shows the activities that give another dimension to KDE adding another layer of magic.
My desktop has 6 activities that are highlighted in the customized upper hidden panel (with the names personal, art etc-these names were chosen by me as you can name the activities of KDE whatever you like!)
So having 6 different virtual desktops and 6 different activities, I have 6x6=36 different workspaces, each empowered with different wallpapers AND widgets!
Keep in mind that my pc is an old cheap acer notebook (aspire 6530) and that in reality my desktop is much smoother than this video indicates. (recordmydesktop is somehow sluggish...)
In this video, there is also showcase of dolphin file manager and of okular an excellent pdf-djvu viewer, both of them free and opensourced.
You can see these two apps to be tabbed in the same window, another excellent feature of KDE.
My next videos will be processed by kdenlive (another excellent opensourced video processing program) and hence I hope they will be much more better.
Discover the Linux and the KDE and prepare for a new desktop experience that is unmatched!
All these are provided for free and opensourced as if we already live in a perfect society.
The revolution in desktop computing has already begun.
The point after all is to spread this revolution outside the internet...
Great job!
