This is a video I made telling the story of the Battle of Waterloo where the French under Napoleon were defeated by the armies lead by Wellington and Blucher. The song is "Waterloo" by the Australian singer Jon English which can be found on his CD "English History II".

  • @Jaxicul The Prussians helped the English quite a bit if you think about it. The French splitting their force to keep them busy so they wouldn't interrupt the battle earlier in the campaign and then arriving on the battlefield where more men had to be displaced to try and deal with them. There are a few other factors though that enabled the British to have a nice advantage even if the French forces had more. I personally believe it would have been a stalemate until the Prussians arrived anyways.

  • @12345668587 Lolno?...

  • @Jaxicul Right.... your army was shattered by the time the Prussians arrived.

  • @12345668587 Umad?

  • Why is everyone like "LOL ENGLISH WOULD HAVE LOST"... T.T... We won the French is so many other battles, PLUS.. we had less men than the French and we still held them off and beat them down alot.. so shut up fools..

  • British were seriously lucky they had the Dutch-Belgians, Prussians, Hanoverians and Nassau on their side. And the Brunswickers too. Without them the British would have lost.

  • If Napoleon still had Grouchy at the actual battle of Waterloo, Or if Wellington didn't have Blucher, I think all you Englishmen would be singing a different song. And it would be in French.

  • When you French visit Waterloo, do you not hear those chilling words of Generalfeldmarschall Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher echo in your ears ""Raise high the black flags, children, no pity, no prisoners, I'll shoot any man I see with pity in him!" He was 72 no less, recovering from battle wounds & he heaped disgrace upon that pathetic midget pretender Napoleon forever! In October I shall place a flower at the foot of Blüchers statue near Unter den Linden in Berlin and laugh about pewee Napoleon!

  • @hiebsch21 sHUT UP FUCKER!

  • @hiebsch21 If so,then Napoleon would have lost every single battle. He won IN LODI,AUSTERLITZ,SO WHAT?

    YOU SHUT BRITISH BASTARD/
