  • get ubunt uthey send free cd's i am still somewhat new to linux tryng to set it up to be used ...i need sound drivers and stuff

  • I'm so jealous send me linux plz.

  • dude, you have a huge huge huge learning curve ahead of you in computing and a brand new operating system to even remotely considering anything *nix. only then, will you not need any .EXE files that you think you desperately needed. and any relatively good 3d video card can let you have that level of smoothness. xgl/compiz is variant to video card, and not cpu.

  • You can't run .exe on Linux without the use of WINE. I suggest you learn more about computers before you venture into using Linux. Especially if you didn't know only Windows uses .exe files.

  • Check out the 'wine' project, it's a windows compatibility layer for Linux. It should allow you to use most windows-compiled .exe programs... however some are still unsupported.

  • so thats linux does it run exe files i always wanted to use linux but i install os like red hat and i find out i cant use a lot of programs coz i cant run exe files. If you know any good sites that will teach me some cool linux things can u please post em. by what are ur cpu specs to make it run so smoothe

  • how did you add xgl && compiz with 2 monitors??!

    it's beautiful!
