The Kosi River in India has spilled its banks, stranding more than one million people. Soldiers and air force helicopters are providing relief to those who are trapped. So far, more than 800 people have died during India's monsoon season. (August 28)
@dzgfdg It is sad since there is such huge over population and they build in flood plains. The water will go where it wants, such that is the nature of the river.

I know this flooding came from a broken level but one of their problems is from cutting down all the trees, and then the soil washes away in the rainy season. Then the river beds fill with dirt run-off and they can't handle any water.
