Just playing around with Serato Scratch Live v 1.9 and my Korg padKontrol. I was mapping functions to different buttons on the padKontrol and saving them as scenes. Scene 1 is for setting cue points, scene 2 for loops...etc.
This is mainly a video as I get used to the loop functions.
YES, the rhythm is a little off in the beginning...but this was not meant to show off any skills...just to get used to the setup

  • AWYEAH THUMBS UP FOR THINKPAD DJS!

  • Thanks for this video man! really thanks!

  • Sick! AV8's Buddha Baboons! I have that 12" still in my hip hop collection!

  • yes I know...but I can't do this. Can you tell me step by step how to do this. I use virtual dj and also for loops, hot cue and samples but I think this is not imprtant. THANKS!!!

  • @zdsrtgnzetmyet There are a ton of products out there...you can use Serato with just MIDI and do basic cue point triggering and effects using internal mode, but i'm not sure it would have the "scratch" feel

I've never tried any other turntable-style scratch controllers

  • @deepshine btw i was wondering if you can do decent scratching like this without a time coded vinyl using a cheaper scratch controller?

  • @deepshine cheers
